I've only dreamed of an online day this good before. I got off to an ok start in 18 mans and was building some nice stacks in 180 mans. Within my first hour I had won a $12/180 and was deep in some other ones. The other 180s for a while were disappointing. Me getting to the FT short on chips and finishing no better than 5th. Whenever I get a stack in a 180, I always check the lobby and hope it's a $36, well I had 20k in one it was around the bbl. I jam AJo from the CO and get snapped by the BB, damn he's got AK. TT2 flop ooo that's promising (for a chop), twotone flop w/ 2 hearts. Turn is a 3rd heart, omg I have a live FD and bam riv heart I'm up to 40k. Now Btn minraises and I jam TT, he calls with AQ and I get an 8 hi flop, ``come on I say, this is destiny I`ve been waiting 200 $36-180s and I`m stuck over 2k.`` Turn is obv a queen and I`m back to 20kish. Next hand I get it in A3o vs QQ and flop an ace. I make the FT and it gets down to 5 handed quickly, KQ holds vs KJo BvB and I`m up to 90kish. I chip away for a few small pots and make a few AI 3bets against the other big stack who loves to minraise pf and loves to min raise flops. Shorty btn jams like 10bb I snap 66 and hold vs A6o so I get HU about even in chips. It`s 3k-6k so we`re both 20bb deep so I limp a lot on the btn and he minraises his BB every time. Getting 3-1 I can`t fold but I never had anything good enough to 3bet so I flat and miss every flop, no pairs, no draws. Finally I limp J5o from the btn and he minraises again. I call. JTT twotone, I c-c, turn A, I check he overbet jams I snap call he has A2o I hold. I`ve got him about 220k-50k now and win a few pots b4 he minraises half his stack, I have T7o and would`ve called a shove so I shove he calls and shows T3o. KQ293 on riv omg. I mean I`m not supposed to win that pot but come on. A few hands later I get it in for 10bb Q4o vs A hi and make a boat for my first 36-180 man win ever.
Almost up 2k so I chose to wind my sesh down. I wasn`t loading anything else up while HU and the HU lasted like 20 min so not that much left. I neglected the 18 mans quite a bit and obv played quite poorly in them because they weren`t that important. I still had chips in a few 180s and made a FT with INIL (ok reg), Z00ts (obv v good) and e8g93h something with a bunch of letters and numbers but he`s on the 6-15 board. I`m short and go out 9th. Still have a nice stack in a 12-180 and I run it up to about 40k b4 the FT. Pretty standard stuff until we get HU. Obv at this point I`m bragging to cardlo69 that I`m going to have my first 2k day online and he obv says it`s long deserved. He`s had a bunch of nice MTT wins online and at least 2 +3k days online with like a fifth of my volume. I say how sick would it be to have 3 180 man wins within a 4 hr sesh. We`re about even in chips HU, he`s got me by like 30k max. I limp T8o from BTN, he checks. A98 r, he checks I bet, he calls. Turn 2, check, check. Riv 8 so I hope he pays off maybe with a 9 or bets riv on a bluff. He overbet jams 110kish into a 30k pot and I snap and he shows 86o so my kicker plays. I win the next hand as a fav and ship 3 180 man wins in a day for +$2600 on the day. Obv I`m very happy and this whole write up is unnecessary but I hope it created some suspense.
Since it was only around 6 I went out rollerblading which I haven`t done in at least a week. Went grocery shopping and celebrated my win today with Taco Bell which I know is unhealthy and a lot of ppl find it disgusting, but I love Mexican food, even if it`s fast food and I never get sick from it as long as I go to particular locations.
I got Tommy ANgelo`s Elements of Poker today from Amazon and started reading it tonight. It seems pretty good so far and it talks about a lot of topics that aren`t normally mentioned in poker books. It`s basically telling you what kind of mindset you need to be a solid player. I know Poker Mindset is a book too but I can`t think of a better way to describe it. Playing live I`ve definitely had a lot of sentiments like I`ll win one more pot than leave and like everyone I`ve kept playing in a game when I was way too tired to keep going on. There was one thing I read today that made a lot of sense. Say you`re stuck in a 10-20 limit game and down like $500, so 1 buyin, you play another 2 hrs at like 2 big bets per hour, which in the games I was in is totally reasonable, maybe 3-4 actually. You`re playing tired for an extra 2 hrs to expect to win back like $40-$80. You`re still going to be stuck almost a buyin and the game will be just as wild the next day. If you`re not feeling well and don`t want to play, then don`t force yourself to. Obviously it`s necessary to put in the hours but if you`re not feeling like playing 30-40hrs a week than it`s probably bad that you`re playing pro. I rarely have to force myself to play but there`s a lot of things you can do on the side that contirbute to your income or poker knowledge that don`t include playing and that`s why I am getting into this venture.
A few guys from the 45180 turbo forum are starting up a staking and coaching site called sngmentors.com. Draqq who is the mod for the turbo forum contacted me along with like 5-7 other guys I think to be coaches and investors. Essentially we look for ppl who are good players but want staking and coaching or ppl who have ``natural talent but poor fundamentals`` that just want a shot to play low stakes MTT SNGS or even 9 man sngs. We have a few ppl in our minds to start with. Basically the site will stake someone for like 6 months and have a minimum game requirement. During this time, the stakee chooses what games he or she wants to play and we give them access to videos, 1 on 1 coaching via teamviewer and skype or HH reviews for FREE. We take a cut of their profits obviously to pay everyone for the time they put in on coaching or making videos. We are giving ppl an opportunuity to get staked and get teachings from a few ppl that are crushing the games. The only area we are struggling with is getting coaches for 18 mans (other than me) and 9 mans (we`re going to try to pull sippin_criss). I did a few videos for 9 mans last year and lots of ppl rly liked them and a lot of the ICM in 9 mans is similar to 18 mans, well the concepts at least like secondary bbls and not being able to make +ev shoves so I could probably do 9 man coaching still to the lower stakes ppl. Draqq and everyone involved already have some great ideas and this will be a nice chance to give stakees and opportunity to build their own roll, as well as make everyone involved some low-risk income. I`ve coached ppl and done HH reviews in the past and most have been really thankful and have gone on to be very solid players (like rodolphe or lucid75) so I`m quite confident that I can`t improve people`s game a lot. Plus I know these games much better than I knew 9 mans last year. The site should be up in around a month and I`m very excited about the venture.
If anyone is intrigued by this offer, maybe email or PM me on 2p2 and say your case if I don`t already know you. We are looking to stake ppl for the following games: $2-180s, $4-180s, $12-180s, $36-180s, 6.50-18 mans, 12-18 mans, 27-18 mans, 9 mans from anything to I guess $38s and 45 mans from anything to $27s. We`re looking for 6month-1 yr contracts so keep that in mind and we`re looking at somewhere between a 75-25 split in our favour to 60-40 split in the stakee`s favour.
My HEM works now which is awesome and my database is 75000 players strong. I love playing with stats and my computer never slows up at all. The HUD is great on HEM too.
I`ve also logged my 10,000th game on stars according to sharkscope. Unless lipo has made 1k in 6-15 games I`ll be back in 5th place. I`m only 2k shy of 3rd place (bookofmudora) too. I think a lot of the guys at the top of the ldrboard have slowed up their place or maybe are in school, so I am pretty sure I can hold 3rd for the rest of the yr and who knows maybe make a run at 2nd (jitterbug) who is about 15k ahead of me.
If you`ve noticed, my comma, forward slash and end quote isn`t working for some reason. My keyboard is weird. My friend accidentally hit some button the other day and everything we typed came out backwards.
It`s pretty nice to be me sometimes. Sorry for the long post but I had a lot to say. And ok, I do run good a fair bit of the time, but definitely not all the time as a lot of ppl have stated. It`s going to be a while till I beat 3 180 man wins in a day, wow. The sick thing is I`m still stuck in 36-180s lifetime lol. Well I`m going to work on that :).

Congrats on the trifecta, I won two 12 180s in a day awhile back and thought that was amazing hah. Out of curiosity, which hud stats are you using with hem? Keep it up!
congrats!
You're definitely a good teacher. I learned a lot from you on the forum ;) Thank you.
Maybe I could be the coach you're searching for the 18men.
I have 1812 games for 4600$ profit on the 16$, I guess that's very solid stats isn't it ;)
cool rodolphe, I'll tell draqq and give him your contact info
for HEM (and I had the same setup for PT), I don't want to load my my tables with tons of stats so I just have vpip/pfr/# of hands. TBH, nothing else I had b4 rly helped that much like aggression factor. Most of the ppl I have large samples on I know how aggro they are in spots and what their 3bet range is often, so it's unnecessary. Obv if I want I can click on their name and get that full yellow chart too.
Congrats bro I might be thinking about trying to get access to the site as a player I will let you know. I am still grinding out to make my stats look like I am an attractive Fantasy Poker Player pikcup. Hope all is well and I will update my blog soon just been busy @ work.
